Overview
Astra Labs came to us with a whitepaper and a deadline: a modular rollup with 2-second finality, shared sequencing, and tooling good enough for outside teams on day one.
Challenge
Every shortcut in sequencing and bridging becomes a security assumption. The team needed production-grade finality without a two-year research program.
Approach
We built on the OP Stack with custom sequencing and Rust services for batching and proofs, ran three public testnets, and wrote the runbooks alongside the code — not after it.
Solution
A rollup with shared sequencing, EVM equivalence, and a developer toolkit: local devnet, indexed APIs, and a bridge UI reviewed for clarity under real user testing.
